| Homepage of a local business | LocalBusiness (or a more specific type like Dentist or Plumber) |

| Blog posts and guides | Article or BlogPosting |

Tips for Schema That Works
- Match the page. Schema must describe content that’s actually visible on the page. Marking up hidden or false information can lead to a manual action from Google.
- Use the most specific type. “Dentist” or “RoofingContractor” tells search engines more than “LocalBusiness”.
- Be consistent. Use the exact same business name, address and phone number as your Google Business Profile and directory listings.
- Add sameAs links. Link to your official profiles on LinkedIn, Facebook, Yelp, Google and industry directories. It helps connect your brand into one entity.
- Don’t self-review. Google doesn’t show review stars for ratings a business adds about itself. Only use review markup for genuine third-party reviews where allowed.
